Nine Middlesbrough players are on international duty over the next week or so. Here is every Boro star involved and the fixtures they could feature in.

Currently sat seventh in the Championship heading into the international break, Middlesbrough fans can enter September with optimism.

Fresh from their 2-0 over Cardiff City, Michael Carrick will use the international period to analyse and reflect ahead of Boro’s return to action against Preston North End on September 14.

The Teesside boss however will hoping none of his first-team squad pick up any unwanted injuries during the break as many Middlesbrough stars jet off to play for their country.

With that being said, which Boro players are leaving the Riverside Stadium on international duty? You can find out here on Boro News.

Nations League

Scotland boss Steve Clark surprised many when selecting Ben Doak in his Nations League squad. The 18-year-old attacker who joined Middlesbrough on loan on deadline day, could win his first senior caps against Poland and Portugal.

Doak was actually included in Scotland’s Euro 2024 squad but missed the tournament due to injury being replaced by fellow Boro man Tommy Conway.

New Middlesbrough striker Conway has also been included in the Tartan Army squad, having made his senior debut back in June.

Having recently pledged his allegiance to Guyana, Isaiah Jones is set to receive his first international cap this week. The Boro full-back was born in Lambeth, England but is able to play for Guyana through his mother, who was born in South America.

International Friendlies

New Boro signing Aidan Morris will be hoping to impress new USA boss Mauricio Pochettino, ahead of the Argentinian’s arrival.

The Middlesbrough midfielder failed to make America’s Copa America squad this summer so he will be wanting to stake his claim against Canada and New Zealand.
