Where is Middlesbrough’s pre-season tour?
Michael Carrick’s squad jet out to Portugal on Sunday, July 7th, for a week-long warm weather training camp.
However, Boro’s pre-season tour will take place in the north of England, including one game at the Riverside Stadium and their remaining matches at the grounds of their opponents.
When does Middlesbrough’s pre-season begin?
The majority of Middlesbrough’s first team have already returned to training, with Carrick welcoming back everyone who had no international commitments over the summer on June 24th, 2024.
The Championship season kicks off on August 10th, 2024, while Middlesbrough’s first friendly takes place on July 20th, 2024.

Middlesbrough have confirmed five friendlies for their 2024 pre-season fixture list this summer.
The Teessiders’ pre-season gets underway on July 20th when they face Bolton Wanderers in Bishop Auckland.
They then face off with Gateshead, Doncaster Rovers, Harrogate Town, and SC Heerenveen in their remaining four games.
