Middlesbrough return to Championship action on Saturday afternoon, taking on Cardiff City.
Michael Carrick will be desperate for his side to get back to winning ways this weekend when Middlesbrough face Cardiff City.
Boro were among the promotion favourites heading into 2024/25 but currently sit 10th in the Championship table after three games.
The Teessiders welcomed Swansea City to the Riverside Stadium on August 10th and secured a 1-0 win thanks to an Emmanuel Latte Lath penalty.
It was the first time in 10 seasons that the Reds had managed to pick up a win on the opening weekend of a campaign.
However, Middlesbrough then suffered a shock 1-0 defeat at the hands of Derby County in their second league outing of the campaign.
This was followed by a 2-2 draw with newly-promoted Portsmouth on home soil this past weekend.
But with Cardiff yet to pick up a single win this term, Boro likely fancy their chances of coming away from Wales with three points.

Emmanuel Latte Lath update emerges ahead of Cardiff City vs Middlesbrough
Ahead of their game this Saturday though, there is the small matter of the 2024 summer transfer window coming to a close.
It is not likely to be an overly busy deadline day for Boro’s Head of Football Kieran Scott, though Middlesbrough are expected to sign George Edmundson from Ipswich Town.
While centre-back reinforcement are needed, Boro fans are probably most concerned about keeping hold of their top players.
Reports emerged earlier today claiming that Ipswich have joined the race for Latte Lath.
Middlesbrough are ‘bullish’ in their stance regarding a Latte Lath sale on the final day of the transfer window.
And that stance has now been backed up by a fresh update from Dominic Shaw, who confirmed on X/Twitter that the Ivorian is set to travel to Wales for Boro’s meeting with Cardiff.
He wrote: “Ipswich are, as reported by Mail Online this morning, interested in Boro striker Emmanuel Latte Lath.
“Not clear at this stage whether there’s been official approach or bid. Latte Lath travelling with Boro squad to Cardiff this afternoon, as planned”
Emmanuel Latte Lath update is good news for Middlesbrough
While Ipswich could, of course, still make a move for Latte Lath today, the fact he is travelling to Cardiff reaffirms the reports that Middlesbrough are not really looking to sell him.
Boro News understands the Teessiders would require a fee over £20m to part ways with their 2023/24 top goalscorer.
Ipswich should have that kind of money now they have won promotion to the Premier League but it is still a large sum to pay for a player who has zero experience in the English top flight.
This should further emphasise the point that Middlesbrough are doing every they can to ensure Latte Lath remains at the club beyond August 30th.
