After signing a new contract with the club, Riley McGree has outlined his Middlesbrough goals for the future.
The transfer activity at the Riverside Stadium has slowed down over the last couple of weeks.
However, Middlesbrough are still working hard behind the scenes ahead of the 2024/25 Championship season.
The latest bit of internal business completed by Boro saw Riley McGree sign a new four-year contract with the club.
McGree has spent two and a half years on Teesside and was a key figure in the Michael Carrick team that reached the Championship play-off final in 2022/23.
The Australian fell down the pecking order in the previous campaign due to injury issues and international commitments but is now expected to play a pivotal role for Boro this year.

Riley McGree outlines Middlesbrough Premier League goals
Middlesbrough have not played Premier League football since their relegation in 2017.
They came close in 2023 when McGree featured 46 times and now he is once again committed to Boro, the Australian has been discussing his goals going forward.
Speaking to Middlesbrough’s club website, the 25-year-old outlined his desire to get Boro into the Premier League in the next four years.
He said: “I’m really happy and proud to have extended my time here. As a club we’re extremely ambitious and we know where we want to be.
“We want to be in the Premier League and we want to get promoted, hopefully sooner rather than later.
“Within this four-year period that I’m now here, I want to achieve those team goals and also some personal goals for myself.”

Will Middlesbrough get promoted in 2024/25
Middlesbrough missed out on the top six by four points in the previous campaign but should be in the promotion race this time around.
Unlike the summer of 2023, Middlesbrough have so far been able to keep hold of all their top stars, despite interest in Emmanuel Latte Lath.
The North East outfit were also hampered by injury last season, with an average of 6.5 first-team players missing per match.
As a result, if Boro can maintain the likes of Latte Lath and Rav van den Berg, and have a better injury record than last year, their promotion chances should increase in 2024/25.
