A Middlesbrough player who only joined the club one year ago is now likely to leave in the 2024 summer transfer window.
Middlesbrough have been one of the more active Championship clubs in the 2024 summer window so far.
Michael Carrick has been working closely with Kieran Scott to strengthen his side as he aims to take Boro back to the Premier League for the first time since 2017.
The North East outfit have signed three first-team players already, with 16-year-old Harley Hunt also joining from Swindon Town recently.
There have been several exits from the Riverside over the last month or so as well.
Paddy McNair and Liam Roberts left the club on free transfers after their contracts expired at the end of 2023/24.
Hayden Coulson has joined Blackpool permanently, while Sammy Silvera has been loaned to Portsmouth for the forthcoming campaign.

Tom Glover likely to leave Middlesbrough
Now, it appears another name could be heading for the exit door on Teesside in the current window.
The player in question is Tom Glover, who signed for Boro on a free transfer from Melbourne City last summer.
After signing for Middlesbrough, the goalkeeper expressed his eagerness to emulate legendary Boro shot-stopper Mark Schwarzer, as per Teesside Live.
He said: “It’s painted all over the walls of the training ground [memories of 2004]! There were some Aussie goalkeepers who played for Boro back then (Schwarzer and Brad Jones).
“If I can make my mark and follow in those footsteps, that’s the dream.
“Schwarzer is an Aussie icon. He was someone I looked up to as a kid. If I can follow and have half the career he did, that’s what I work hard towards.”
Now, however, it looks as though Glover will not get a chance to follow in the footsteps of Schwarzer.
According to Teesside Live, after spending 2023/24 as Carrick’s second-choice keeper, the Australian is likely to seek first-team opportunities elsewhere if the opportunity presents itself.

Middlesbrough have goalkeeper dilemma
Even if Glover moves on in the current window, Middlesbrough still have too many goalkeepers going into 2024/25.
Seny Dieng should be Carrick’s number one once again after performing well in the previous campaign.
Jamie Jones is also expected to sign a new deal with the club after becoming a free agent earlier this month.
Jones did not make any appearances for the Reds last term and was used as the third-choice option.
That leaves Sol Brynn and Zach Hemming competing to be backup for Dieng going forward.
Both players shone while out on loan in 2023/24 and will likely want regular minutes next term.
As a result, it makes sense for Middlesbrough to move on one of Brynn or Hemming this summer, even if Glover also leaves.
