Middlesbrough are facing a fight to keep hold of players like Rav van den Berg and Emmanuel Latte Lath on Deadline Day.

Middlesbrough have so far made seven signings in the 2024 summer transfer window.

Luke Ayling, Delano Burgzorg, Aidan Morris, Harley Hunt, Micah Hamilton, Tommy Conway and Neto Borges have all arrived at the Riverside over the last couple of months.

Another addition is expected on deadline day as well with Middlesbrough confident about signing George Edmundson from newly-promoted Ipswich Town.

One of the best things Boro have done so far this summer, though, is keep hold of all their top stars.

The Teessiders failed to do this in the summer of 2023, selling Chuba Akpom and losing Ryan Giles, Cameron Archer and Aaron Ramsey after their loans expired.

However, with less than 12 hours of the current window to go, Boro are facing a fight to maintain the services of some of their biggest names.

Ipswich Town and Fulham want Emmanuel Latte Lath and Rav van den Berg

Wolverhampton Wanderers, RB Salbruzg and AS Monaco were all linked with Emmanuel Latte Lath earlier in August.

Now, on Deadline Day, Ipswich Town have joined the race for Latte Lath after their attempts to sign Armando Broja from Chelsea collapsed.

As well as Latte Lath, another top Boro star is attracting interest from the Premier League ahead of the 11pm deadline.

Fulham are interested in signing Rav van den Berg, whose exit would come as a major blow to Michael Carrick given his side’s already concerning centre-back situation.

Middlesbrough stance on selling Emmanuel Latte Lath and Rav van den Berg

Latte Lath was Boro’s top scorer last season and while Tommy Conway has since joined as competition from Bristol City, his exit would be bad news for Boro.

As for Van den Berg, he is one of the most promising young players in the Championship and while Boro fans likely expect him to join a bigger club at some point, an exit today would be catastrophic.

Middlesbrough have one fit senior centre-back ahead of their meeting with Cardiff City and the Dutchman’s sale would further deplete Boro’s defensive ranks.

However, though exits are not completely off the table, Teesside Live have provided a fairly positive update regarding Boro’s stance on selling the aforementioned duo.

On interest in Van den Berg, Hayden Hackney and Latte Lath, it is claimed the trio are set to stay this summer with Boro ‘bullish in their stance’.

Exits cannot be ruled out but Middlesbrough are said to be calm when it comes to the sales of that trio.
