Micah Hamilton played with and against some quality stars before moving to Middlesbrough.
Middlesbrough signed Micah Hamilton for £3.5m from Manchester City on Friday, August 9th.
The 20-year-old looks set to prove a fantastic addition to Michael Carick’s side going into the 2024/25 Championship season.
One Man City expert has provided an insight into Hamilton and what he could potentially bring to the Riverside Stadium.
The Englishman is a versatile option whose strengths include his technical ability on the ball, his speed, and the way he can get past players in one-on-one situations.
Hamilton is from Manchester and began honing these skills with the Sky Blues’ academy as a youngster.
The winger played 29 times for City’s U18 team, scoring 12 and assisting eight in said games.
He then made the step up to their U23 squad, where he netted six and assisted nine in 40 outings.

Micah Hamilton reveals the best players he’s played with and against
After shinning at youth level, Pep Guardiola handed Hamilton his first-team debut in the 2023/24 campaign.
The winger scored and assisted as Man City beat Red Star Belgrade 3-2 in a Champions League group stage tie on December 13, 2023.
His second senior outing came the following month as the Manchester outfit smashed Huddersfield Town 5-0 in the FA Cup on January 7th, 2024.
During his time at the Etihad, Hamilton has had the privilege of playing with and against some world-class stars.
Following his move to Middlesbrough, he took part in a quick-fire Q&A, which was posted on the club’s official TikTok account.
Hamilton was asked who the best players he has played with and against in his career so far are, naming Kevin De Bruyne for the first answer and Bayern Munich’s Jamal Musiala for the second.
He said: “There’s a few but I’m going to go with Kevin De Bruyne.
“At youth level back in the day at nationals I played against Jamal Musiala, he’s at Bayern now”

Middlesbrough may struggle to keep hold of Micah Hamilton
After losing so many players at the end of 2022/23, Middlesbrough have been keen to avoid making too many loan signings, unless there is potential for a deal to be made permanent.
The fact Boro have been able to snap up Hamilton on a permanent basis is a huge coup for the club.
However, it is hard to see the 20-year-old staying on Teesside for too many years.
Manchester City have a buy-back clause in the deal so if Hamilton performs well enough, Guardiola could easily bring him back to the Premier League champions.
Boro may also have another Morgan Rodgers situation on their hands with their latest addition.
Rodgers joined from Man City last summer and impressed in the first six months of 2023/24.
However, Middlesbrough sold the forward to Aston Villa in the January transfer window.
They made a tidy profit on Rodgers but fans of the North East outfit are no doubt hopeful the same thing does not happen with Hamilton this year.
