Ipswich Town will not be signing Emmanuel Latte Lath on Deadline Day, Boro News understands.
Emmanuel Latte Lath joined the Teessiders from Serie A outfit Atalanta BC last summer and has since become an integral figure under Michael Carrick.
The Ivorian was the club’s top scorer in the previous campaign, netting 16 in 30 Championship matches, and was labelled ‘quality’ by the Boro boss, as per the Northern Echo.
After a prolific season, the striker has been garnering interest throughout the 2024 summer transfer window.
Wolverhampton Wanderers, RB Salbruzg and AS Monaco were all linked with Latte Lath at the beginning of August.
However, the trio appears to have moved on to other targets as the 11pm deadline draws near.
Today, though, another top-flight team have been trying to secure a deal for the 25-year-old.
Reports emerged on Friday morning that Ipswich Town wanted to sign Latte Lath after struggling to get a deal for Chelsea’s Armando Broja over the line.

Ipswich Town will not sign Emmanuel Latte Lath from Middlesbrough
However, the Tractor Boys will now have to look elsewhere to reinforce their striker ranks as a deal for Middlesbrough’s top scorer from last term is off the table.
Boro News understands Middlesbrough have made it clear in the last couple of weeks that they did not want to sell their big names – the main three being Latte Lath, Rav van den Berg and Hayden Hackney.
The North East outfit did fear big bids coming in for said trio, as they would be very hard to reject if they arrived.
But while Ipswich have shown a late interest in Latte Lath, Boro News can confirm Kieran McKenna’s club will not get near Middlesbrough’s valuation of the striker, which is close to £25million.

Emmanuel Latte Lath set for new competition at Middlesbrough
Latte Lath was largely unchallenged as Boro’s primary number nine in the previous campaign, despite struggling in the first few months of 2023/24.
Josh Coburn has joined Millwall today, after failing to earn regular first-team minutes ahead of the former Atalanta striker.
However, Latte Lath now has new and arguably better competition for his place as Middlesbrough’s primary striker.
Tommy Conway has joined the Teessiders on a permanent £4.5m transfer from Bristol City and has already got off the mark for his new side, netting in the 2-2 draw with Portsmouth last weekend.
Conway is a much more experienced centre-forward than Coburn and has a better goalscoring record in the Championship.
The 22-year-old’s transfer fee also means Carrick really needs to give him quite a lot of game time to make his addition worthwhile.
As a result, Latte Lath may see his playing time reduced in 2024/25 if he does not continue to perform as he did at the end of last season.
