Middlesbrough have completed their sixth signing of the summer transfer window on Friday.
Middlesbrough began the transfer window by re-signing Luke Ayling from Leeds United on a free transfer.
The Teessiders then confirmed permanent moves for midfielder Aidan Morris and versatile winger, Delano Burgzorg.
Harley Hunt joined Boro’s academy from Swindon Town as well and shortly before the start of the 2024/25 Championship season, Middlesbrough signed Micah Hamilton from Manchester City.
Following Hamilton’s arrival at the Riverside Stadium for around £3.5m, Boro turned their attention toward bringing in another striker.
The man they were in the market to sign was Tommy Conway, who scored 10 in 39 Championship matches for Bristol City last term.
Burnley and Hull City rivaled Middlesbrough for Conway, but it is Michael Carrick and co. who have won the race for his signature.

Tommy Conway sends message to Middlesbrough fans
Boro have been tracking the striker for a while, with it confirmed by Sky Sports during Middlesbrough’s win over Leeds United on Wednesday that they will pay the Robins £4.5m for his services.
The Middlesbrough faithful have been eagerly awaiting a transfer announcement and one finally came on Friday afternoon.
Speaking to the club’s media, Carrick gave his verdict on Middlesbrough’s latest signing.
He said: “We’re delighted to bring Tommy in. He’s a good age, he has great potential and we’re really excited to work with him.
“He’s already got plenty of Championship experience, and he’s a great addition to the squad.”
And now, Conway has taken to Instagram to pen his first message to the Boro fans.
He said: “Hi guys it’s Tommy Conway here. I’m delighted to be here and I can’t wait to see you all soon.”

What does Tommy Conway transfer mean for Josh Coburn
Conway is a proven Championship striker who was just about able to hit double figures last term despite playing for a weak team.
The 22-year-old will now provide some quality competition for Emmanuel Latte Lath up front at the Riverside.
However, the Scotland international’s arrival may come as a blow to fellow centre-forward, Josh Coburn.
Coburn was backup to Latte Lath in 2023/24 and started the current campaign in the same role.
But as Carrick only plays one number nine and he will obviously give minutes to his latest signing, it is hard to see where Coburn now fits into the team.
As a result, Middlesbrough may need to loan or potentially even sell the 21-year-old in the remainder of the window.
