Aidan Morris swapped the United States for Middlesbrough earlier this summer.
Middlesbrough were quick to get the majority of their summer transfer business done before pre-season had begun.
This allowed Michael Carrick plenty of time to embed his new signings before the start of the Championship season.
One of the players brought to the Riverside Stadium back in June was former Columbus Crew midfielder, Aidan Morris.
Morris swapped the MLS for Teesside in a deal worth around £3.18m and has been settling in nicely in the North East.
The USA international made his competitive debut as Middlesbrough beat Swansea City 1-0 on the opening weekend.
After that showing, Morris was dubbed an ‘incredible find’ for Middlesbrough by one EFL pundit.
With Jonny Howson out injured, the 22-year-old has continued to hold down a regular starting berth for his new club.

Aidan Morris compares Middlesbrough and MLS fans
The midfielder starred in the 3-0 win over Leeds United in the League Cup and was also in the eleven this past weekend.
Despite losing to Derby County at Pride Park, Morris has endeared himself to the Middlesbrough fans, who have already made a new chant for him.
After their loss at the weekend, Boro held an opening training session at the Riverside Stadium on August 19th.
During the session, Morris spoke to MFC.co.uk and was asked to outline the difference between Middlesbrough fans and those in the MLS.
He said: “Going to play away is hard enough but then when you start hearing your own fans cheering for you and you guys quiet the crowd, it feels like a home game at the end.
“I think that’s the cool thing. We do a similar one [open training session] in Columbus but there are more people here for sure.”

Will Aidan Morris continue to start for Middlesbrough
Despite singing back in June, Morris was expected to be slowly integrated into the Boro eleven due to his limited experience in England.
However, issues at the back and to Howson forced Carrick to throw the midfielder in at the deep end.
To his credit, Morris has performed very well so far and has already become something of a fan favourite.
Middlesbrough’s shock loss at the weekend may see some fans call for a change to the eleven but Morris must keep his place.
Even against the Rams, the American was a standout performer, with their goal having very little to do with him.
Howson also remains out and while Dan Barlaser is a solid option to provide cover, it is already clear Morris is leaps ahead of the Englishman when it comes to quality.
