Middlesbrough were busy in the transfer window this summer, signing eight players in total as they continue their push for promotion.
As well as the many incomings, there were also several departures, both permanent and on loan.
Seven Boro stars departed the Riverside Stadium on loan in the 2024 summer window and have all had different starts to their respective campaigns.
So, with that, let’s look at how every Middlesbrough player out on loan has fared so far this season.
Josh Coburn – Millwall

Boro academy graduate Josh Coburn made the move to fellow Championship side Millwall on deadline day and got off to a goalscoring start on his debut.
However, that’s as good as it’s got for the 21-year-old so far after he was injured in his second game and has been ruled out ever since.
Millwall boss Neil Harris is hopeful that Coburn will be able to return in the coming weeks, where he can hopefully kickstart his career down south.
Sammy Silvera – Portsmouth

Sammy Silvera has featured for the newly promoted side despite playing 42 times for the Teessiders last season.
Silvera has played in seven games so far but has rotated between the starting XI and the subs bench.
The Australia international is yet to score or assist and is part of a side struggling with their return to the second tier.
Portsmouth are the only side in the league yet to win and are 23rd in the table.
Zach Hemming – Leyton Orient

The 24-year-old made the move to the League One outfit and has been getting regular football in east London.
Zach Hemming has made 10 appearances for Leyton Orient, keeping two clean sheets, although those are the only two games that Hemming has won so far.
Hemming is likely to be involved in a relegation battle and the experience will be invaluable for him going forward.
Sonny Finch – MK Dons

Sonny Finch is one of Boro’s brightest young talents and ahead of plans to integrate him in the first-team, a loan move to League Two outfit MK Dons was arranged.
Finch has played six times for the Dons, scoring one goal but in a recent interview, the 19-year-old admitted that it can be “difficult” being far away from home.
“It [scoring] helps a lot, especially being here, coming from a club where I’m close to home,” Finch said after scoring in a win against Harrogate Town.
“It’s difficult being down here and not having much confidence, so it’s good to get that [through scoring goals].”
Terrell Agyemang – Airdrieonians

The first of three Boro youngsters to head north of the border, Terrell Agyemang joined Scottish second-tier side Airdrieonians.
Agyemang has played 10 times in all competitions for Airdrieonians but hasn’t been named in the matchday squad for the last three games.
Furthermore, it’s been a torrid start for the Scottish Championship outfit, who are bottom of the table and have one win from eight games.
Pharrell Willis & Jack Hannah – Queen of the South

Although they joined at different times, the duo of Pharrell Willis and Jack Hannah also moved to Scotland, joining third-tier Queen of the South.
Willis has failed to make a major impact so far, playing three times in all competitions, with only one of them starting.
In the league, he has played just 26 minutes since his deadline-day move.
Hannah has had a different experience, however, and has played seven times in the league. The 21-year-old has also played the full 90 minutes in over half of those games, with Queen of the South currently occupying a play-off place.
