Bristol City striker Tommy Conway has been the subject of transfer interest from Middlesbrough recently.
Middlesbrough began the 2024 summer transfer window by signing three first-team players before pre-season had begun.
The club’s transfer dealings have slowed down since the arrival of Aidan Morris but things look to be picking up now we are in the final month of the window.
Boro News reported on July 18th that Middlesbrough were looking at the foreign market to strengthen on the left wing this summer.
It has since emerged that Michael Carrick is set to rival Sunderland for a European winger.
As well as adding a left-winger to their squad before the start of the new season, a new striker remains a priority for Middlesbrough.
The latest name linked to fill this role is Bristol City centre-forward, Tommy Conway.

Burnley join Middlesbrough in Tommy Conway race
Middlesbrough were first linked with Conway on Monday evening, with Boro said to have opened talks over a move.
Details of Boro’s bid for Conway then emerged, with the Teessiders believed to have offered up £5m for the striker.
Bristol City are understood to have wanted more money upfront than what was presented by Boro.
£5m for a potential rotation option seemed a bit excessive but the North East outfit are now facing fresh competition for the player.
Bristol Live report on Thursday that the Robins are now in talks with Burnley over a potential move for Conway.
The Clarets are eyeing up an ambitious swap deal for the player, which would see Scott Twine and Luke McNally head to City in place of Conway.

Why Burnley interest in Tommy Conway is good for Middlesbrough
Missing out on a transfer target to a Championship promotion rival may anger some of the Boro faithful.
However, Burnley’s interest in signing Conway could be a blessing in disguise for Carrick and co.
Bristol City are looking for somewhere close to £5m for the forward, which is just too much.
Conway is not the most prolific striker in the world, having scored 10 in 39 league matches last term.
That is not a terrible record but probably not worth £5m when you consider Middlesbrough did not even pay that much for Emmanuel Latte Lath.
Furthermore, Latte Lath will be Boro’s primary number nine in the coming campaign and as Carrick only plays one striker, Conway would be a rotation option.
All of Delano Burgzorg, Josh Coburn, and Sonny Finch can deputise up front for the Ivorian at present, leading to question marks over why Middlesbrough seemingly want to spend £5m on a backup striker.
