Middlesbrough are expected to make more signings before the close of the transfer window.
Boro have been one of the more active clubs on the transfer front during the summer of 2024.
Middlesbrough rank high in the Championship spending table, sitting below just two teams after their latest addition.
Micah Hamilton arrived on Teesside from Manchester City prior to their meeting with Swansea City.
He did not feature but came off the bench when Middlesbrough beat Leeds United in the League Cup.
After Hamilton, Middlesbrough signed Tommy Conway from Bristol City for a fee of £4.5m
The North East outfit have now signed six players for Michael Carrick this summer but at least one more addition will likely arrive through the door.
With Alex Bangura out, Middlesbrough want to sign a left-back to provide competition for Lukas Engel.
Boro News understands the Premier League market is being looked at by the club to fill this void.

Middlesbrough sent ‘desperate’ Ryan Giles transfer plea
The main left-back Boro have been linked with so far this summer is Ryan Giles.
It was claimed last month that Middlesbrough were preparing to bid for Giles, but a move for the defender now appears to have been put on the backburner.
However, with reinforcements at the back still needed, talkSPORT pundit Phil Spencer has sent a plea to Boro for them to sign Giles, who he believes is the ‘perfect fit’ for Carrick.
He said: “The one player who I’m desperate for Middlesbrough to sign is Ryan Giles.
“Giles was so popular during his first spell with the club and was a perfect fit for Michael Carrick’s side as he offered a wide attacking threat from left back.
“Left-back is an area that Boro should look to strengthen if at all possible and, given his history under Michael Carrick, it seems like a no-brainer of a signing if it can be pulled off.”

Middlesbrough chances of signing Ryan Giles outlined
Giles enjoyed a prolific stint at the Riverside Stadium during the 2022/23 season when on loan from Wolverhampton Wanderers.
He provided an impressive 11 assists from full-back and was key to Middlesbrough securing a fourth-place finish.
However, after Hull City made his move permanent earlier in the window, a transfer to Teesside is looking unlikely this month.
Boro News understands that while Giles could still be an option for Middlesbrough, a transfer will be hard to complete unless Hull have a change of heart.
The potential fee involved in a deal for the defender will also prove a tough ask for the Teessiders.
Should Boro fail to sign a new left-back before deadline day, Carrick will have to rely on academy player George McCormick to provide cover out of position, as he did in pre-season and from the bench against Leeds United.
