Middlesbrough only look set for one deadline day player exit.
Deadline day can be hit and miss for Middlesbrough, and this latest deadline day has certainly been mixed so far.
There’s no new signings to speak of as of yet, with Tom Cannon one player linked.
Right now though, it’s reported that Stoke City are set to sign Cannon on loan from Leicester City.
Elsewhere, Josh Coburn is set to join Millwall on loan, in what feels like a good move for Boro’s Championship rivals.
And reporter Craig Johnson believes that Coburn will be the only player leaving the Riverside on deadline day.

Middlesbrough stance on Emmanuel Latte Lath amid Ipswich Town interest
Earlier on deadline day, it was revealed that Ipswich Town have an interest in Emmanuel Latte Lath ahead of the 11pm deadline.
Boro’s star striker has been in transfer headlines throughout the summer, but he doesn’t look likely to leave the club.
Gazette Live reporter Johns says that Middlesbrough have ‘pulled up the drawbridge’ where a potential exit for Latte Lath is concerned.
Johns posted on X:
Middlesbrough and Steve Gibson learning from previous mistakes
Last summer, Middlesbrough had a star striker, and they sold him; Chuba Akpom.
He was never properly replaced until Latte Lath got up and firing in the Championship.
Now that Carrick has a star striker, and after a mixed start to the 2024/25 season, it would foolish for Middlesbrough to sell Latte Lath so close to the deadline.
The 25-year-old can now focus on adding to his 17 Championship goals for Boro since his arrival last summer.
And if he continues to impress then Boro will continue to field interest in the striker, who could one day net owner Steve Gibson a huge profit.
