Middlesbrough could make a few more signings before the close of the 2024 summer transfer window.
Boro had a busy start to the 2024 summer window, bringing four players to the Riverside Stadium.
Luke Ayling returned to the North East after a successful loan spell from Leeds United in the second half of 2023/24.
The right-back’s arrival was quickly followed by Delano Burgzorg joining from German side, Mainz 05.
Aidan Morris was the third addition for Michael Carrick this summer, with the Teessiders paying around £3.18m to secure his services.
The last player to arrive on Teesside was centre-back Harley Hunt. He has linked up with Middlesbrough’s academy for the upcoming season.
The transfer business at Middlesbrough has slowed down since Hunt’s arrival but it looks set to pick up again in the next few weeks.
Here we round up all the latest Middlesbrough transfer news…

Middlesbrough interested in Tommy Conway
The major transfer story coming out of the club this week is Middlesbrough are interested in Tommy Conway.
The 21-year-old will leave Bristol City this summer after turning down a new contract with the club.
Details of Middlesbrough’s bid for Conway emerged recently, with the Teessiders said to have offered £5m for the striker.
However, a large part of that sum is understood to have been made up of clause-dependent add-ons.
Boro are not the only side in for the 21-year-old, though, as Burnley have opened talks over a swap deal for Conway.

Middlesbrough transfer stance on Josh Coburn sale
With Conway potentially on his was to the Riverside, question marks over Josh Coburn’s future have emerged.
The centre-forward spent last term as the back-up to Emmanuel Latte Lath, featuring 21 times in the Championship.
Should Boro sign Conway, or another striker, the 21-year-old would drop even further down the pecking order.
Despite this, Carrick suggested recently that Coburn will be staying at Middlesbrough for the 2024/25 campaign.

Middlesbrough ‘considering’ targeting new area
While much of the transfer focus has been on the striker department of late, another area of the team could be targeted before deadline day.
Marcus Forss is currently sidelined and will miss Boro’s Championship opener versus Swansea City on August 10th.
It has since emerged that Middlesbrough are considering signing a right-winger in the remainder of the window.

Former Middlesbrough player seals MLS transfer
Lewis O’Brien joined Middlesbrough on loan from Nottingham Forest for 2023/24.
The central midfielder struggled for form in the North East, ending the season as a rotation option.
O’Brien returned to his parent club in May and has now sealed a permanent transfer away from Forest.
The former Middlesbrough star has joined an MLS side, linking up with Los Angeles FC on a permanent transfer.
